Hi Folks,

Niranajan Sant's unique and peerless image of a male Narcondam
Hornbill marks an important milestone for the "Birds of Kolkata"
website - the inclusion of the 1,000th Indian species image for the
bird lovers across the globe!
As the website gets ready to enter the 7th year of supporting interest
in birding in our area, it is time to thank the more than 60
photographers without whose contribution we would never have reached
this milestone.
We hope that Kolkatabirds serves a purpose for the birding community
at large and continues to do so over the years. The target is to cover
all 1,250 odd Indian Species and to provide information on all birding
areas in our country - a tall task but achievable! All we need is your
guidance and support in the years ahead.
