Yesterday was indeed a spectacular day at the Mendota Hawk Watch! I sure wish I could have been there. There are still lots of hawks headed our way.

We still need observers on some days. Any day would be helpful, but we especially could use more help on Sep 21, and Sep 25-30.  Please let me know if you can volunteer. Thanks so much for all of the volunteers who have stepped up to keep the tradition alive.

The Bristol Bird Club will have its annual Mendota field trip on Saturday, Sep 23. I won't be able to be there and there currently isn't anyone designated as the field trip leader. If anyone is interested in leading the field trip, please contact me. It doesn't require any particular skill, just a commitment to be there for part of the day. We will have the field trip even if there isn't a leader. Thanks, Larry McDaniel
