Yesterday afternoon, I availed myself of the sunshine to clean out
flower beds and to prune the dead branches. Finding new growth of
penstemen, Texas Betony, poppy, and Rock Rose was great. However, I
prick up my ears at the honking of Sandhill Cranes. It took me a
while
to find them as they were flying very high. I was treated to 75
Sandies flying northward.

What a special sight that must have been! You must be seeing other
types of migration as well.
