Golden Time of Year

Birding at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, TX this past Thursday provided my
FOS Golden Crowned Kinglets. They were found on the east side. In
the same area were Eastern Bluebirds, Carolina Chickadees, Tufted
Titmice, Yellow Rumped Warblers and Ruby Crowned Kinglets. A Red
Bellied Woodpecker also showed himself as well as Northern Cardinal
and European Starling.

Today brought the FOS American Goldfinch to my feeders. Where there
is one, more are to follow. Additionally, the Yellow Bellied
Sapsucker has returned. It was found on one of the hackberries in the
back. The Downy Woodpecker still visits the peanut feeder.

Orange crowned Warblers, Nashville Warblers, and Ruby crowned Kinglets
are all darting in and out of the bushes near the bird bath. They are
joined by the Northern Cardinals.
