Good a.m., weather watching for our River Bend 17 December venue this Wednesday.

Currently, the Floresville weather forecast appears to have continual soggy/damp weather during our expected period of play.  It is not looking Birdie Seeker conducive at this time.  I monitor the situation and I will make a more informative call as to whether we are GO or NO-GO tomorrow.

Good morning, we are a "GO" to play River Bend.

Please enroll if you plan to play.  It appears the forecast eased the chance for rain.  So, we are on to play ⛳🏌️‍♂️

4.  Keep a healthy pace of play during our events.  According to the "USGA Rules of Golf"...

a. Conduct Expected of All Players

All players are expected to play in the spirit of the game by:

  • Acting with integrity – for example, by following the Rules, applying all penalties, and being honest in all aspects of play.

  • Showing consideration to others – for example, by playing at a prompt pace, looking out for the safety of others, and not distracting the play of another player. If a player plays a ball in a direction where there might be a danger of hitting someone, they should immediately shout a warning, such as the traditional warning of “fore”.

  • Taking good care of the course – for example, by replacing divots, smoothing bunkers, repairing ball-marks, and not causing unnecessary damage to the course."

Good day all,

We have a progressive start at Riverside for Wed.
Have you enrolled?  Please do so before the slots are returned to the golf course.

Based on the current enrollment and any additional golfers IN/OUT; it may be required that I alter your start time/pairing.  Please remember to show up a little earlier than your advertised start time.

Attached is a snapshot of the pairing/start times at this moment.  Go online for the most up to date pairings/starting times.

Good day all,

As a reminder; The Birdie Seekers mode of operation and focus is "time" and "early."  That said... please enroll now if you plan to play Cedar next week.

My commentary is still the same...
Let's keep to the Birdie Seekers Code & Etiquette:

-- enroll & withdraw early (by noon Saturday; we can still take on late enrollees... but, I do the tee sheet on Saturday)
-- arrive before time (that's well in advance of our start time)
-- pray on time
-- start on time
-- we play ready golf; Norbert Zepeda is our "Ready Golf Trainer"
-- everyone finish their round in 4 hours and 15 minutes or less; some may finish in 3 hours and 20 minutes
-- lost ball searches 2 minutes max
-- we play the ball down; no exception

Golfers; do your part to not be the cause of slow play!

We covered:
- self sign up/enrollment
- withdrawal tip to apply when you execute the move to withdraw from the list
- Birdie Seekers R.O.E.
- Pace of Play; do not be the cause of slow play

Vacant slots can always be filled. And if there are no vacant slots, the app will allow you to signup on the standby list. Also, you can signup for any tournament listed on The Birdie Seekers' site.  That really helps me provide better reservation projections to the golf courses.  Thanks for doing that!
