AJOBA FILM:
It gives us immense pleasures 2 inform you that our charity PAWS is now officially - A Charity Partner for up-coming Marathi Film 'Aajoba' which based on Leopard-Human Conflict. Ajoba releasing on 9th May.
Our forest dept.- after receiving a call for leopard attacking on human or coming in goregoan, borivli, vasai, thane areas, catches the leopard, keeps in cage for 12 to 15 days & simply relocates 2 any outside areas like sahyadri ranges. This unscientific technique has created more mess in conflict rather then helping 2 resolve conflicts. Dr. Vidhya Athreya has done research work on this conflict & done doctorate on it.
First time in Marathi Film world such movie has been featured & we have been approached that PAWS to be charity partner of it. The movie will be released on 9th May all across Maharashtra. A very good movie on animal as hero.

9. FUNDRAISING & DONATIONS:
Various NGO's are fighting day-to-day
basis on streets to rescue animals, look after them, try n give them a better
life from streets - Hunger, Cold, Heat & struggle 4 survivals. This made us
also to stop think for a moment...we taken-up the cause @ larger scale &
started PAWS. With thousands of hurdles facing each year, carrying compassion
under PAWS Banner. People feel that NGO's must provide on-lip-call service,
free service, and round-the-clock service as anytime there is an emergency with
animal on street, highway & so on...
Very few think, how we must be carrying the entire show, handling daily
helpline, rescue calls, wildlife rehab, services on time, staff management,
getting resources like food, medicines, money etc. But some compassionate
people think beyond an injured animal on street.
