Dear birding friends,
We are pleased to announce that a
brief summary of GBBC 2014 in India is now available. India contributed the largest number of species (823) of any country in the world to the GBBC, and came third in terms of number of lists (over 3,000 lists).
A description of India results is available here:

The GBBC is an annual snapshot of our bird populations, but
what about the rest of the year? You can keep track of your birding trips and sightings while contributing to a more detailed understanding of Indian birds by continuing to upload your observations to eBird.
To help make this more fun and enjoyable, we are starting a series of
monthly eBirding Challenges for birders in India. For April 2014, the challenge is to upload
at least 20 complete lists. Details of these challenges are available here:
www.birdcount.in/ebird/challengeHave fun watching birds, keep track of your personal sightings and at the same time contribute towards a better understanding of bird distribution and populations!
For the love of birds,
BirdCount India
