I installed RAW 2.1.4 on laptops running Windows 10 and 11 respectively. The Windows 10 installation completed successfully, but not the Windows 11. In Windows 11 the terminal window opens but the command prompt and subsequent GUI is not displayed
Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

Hi Shahid,

We’ve had several reports of the most recent version (2.3.0) not working with the prebuilt Windows installer on Windows 11 (as an aside, is there a reason you’re using a 3 year old version of RAW?). The solution has typically been to install an earlier version. For some people this has been something around 2.2.0, for others around 2.1.0, and for one person all the way back to 2.0. Unfortunately the current Windows installer works for on my test computer, and because there’s so much variability in what version works I haven’t been able to track down the cause of this. Your best bet would be to try some different versions and see what works for you.

Hope that helps.

I should have also mentioned that the solution that always should work is installing from source:

I’m also assuming that the Windows 11 and 10 computers are similar. For example, if you’re using the ARM build of Windows 11 then you’d expect the prebuilt version of RAW to not work should fail, as there isn’t a prebuilt for ARM on Windows at this point in time.

All the best.
