Bioxtas RAW Crashing Soon After Opening

Hi Jesse,

I am operating a Windows 11 computer and seemingly successfully installed RAW 2.3.0 from the prebuilt installer.  When I open the RAW application, the GUI opens up with the introductory pop up window. After a few seconds, the program crashes.  I have uninstalled and installed the application twice so that doesn't seem to be the issue.  If you have any other ideas, please let me know.

Hi Vishnu,

I’ve seen this several times with Windows 11. So far the only known solution, besides installing from source, is using an older version of RAW. The annoying thing is that there doesn’t seem to be a consistent last working version. On some Windows 11 installs 2.3.0 works fine. I know of one person who reverted back to 2.2.2 and that worked, while someone else had to go all the way back to 2.1.4.

So, my advice is to download the most recent older version of RAW and see if that works, and if not work your way backwards until you find one that does. You can find older installers here:

This is something I’ll work on as I have a chance, but the lack of consistency makes it hard to troubleshoot (I have a windows 11 laptop where 2.3.0 works fine).
