Dear All,

I just spoke to Michael Galperin who is the Editor for the NAR database issue. Michael is keen to encourage submissions from Wiki based databases. He has asked me to write an editorial summary of the Wiki submissions to the issue.

If you wish to be considered then there are a few rules on the NAR website that you should check. But the deadline to send Michael a presubmission enquiry is July 1st.

Instructions here:
http://www.oxfordjournals.org/our_journals/nar/for_authors/msprep_database.html

Historically the NAR database issue is the premiere place to get your database published because it gives very high visibility to your work. So please do consider a submission.

Bye for now
Alex

Hi,

Since the Gene Wiki has been published in NAR before, we were assuming
that our update article would be due on Sept. 15 rather than Aug. 15th
as it would be for the first time publications. Can anyone confirm
that? I saw that WikiPathways is ramping up to submit by Aug. 15th
and it got me worried..

thanks

:) We've only published on WikiPathways in PLoS Biol and PLoS ONE in the
past. That's why we've targeted Aug 15th. But that only answers part of
your question...

I recommend confirming with Galperin directly.
