I have a question concerning the backwards compatibility of Active Choices v1.5.2

If you develop a UI using the v1.5.2 and then deploy in an environment that has an older version of the Active Choices plugin (let's say v 1.4) the parameter scripts appear to be lost.
Is this to be expected?

thanks and best regards
Ioannis

As we have fixed most Java serialization issues in 1.5.0 and 1.5.1, it shouldn't happen.

In other words, you should still have the parameter scripts in your config.xml.

If you cannot see the parameters in the UI, it is likely the Security Script Plug-in waiting for approval. If that's the case, we may have to work on the UI, to display a clear message, and maybe point to where the user should go.

Let me know if that helps
Bruno

Going into the Jenkins Script Security Approval I do not see anything pending.
However, I've heard of an annoying bug where you need to remove all existing approvals and re-apply.

Maybe I'll give this a try tomorrow. The other issue is that this is an older version of Jenkins as well, so the combination of this and securoty approval may be responsible for the Active Choices behavior.

Thanks for the feedback Bruno!
