[ANNOUNCE] Active Choices (née Uno-Choice) plugin release v1.5.3

The BioUno community is pleased to announce the release of the Active Choices Plug-in v1.5.3 [1], previously known as Uno-Choice Plug-in. The release is available from Jenkins Update Center so you can install it from any Jenkins instance.

This release


* JENKINS-34487: Do not hang the browser when parameter re-evaluated (thanks to Vladimir Fedorov)

* JENKINS-38532: Active Choices Reactive Reference Parameters don't parse equals character ('=') properly.
* JENKINS-34188: jenkins.log noise: "script parameter ... is not an instance of Java.util.Map."* Code formatting
* Test code refactor (new tests, format source code, remove unused imports)

Major changes are that users should now see a Loading overlay screen while the plug-in is working updating fields. The log messages regarding java.util.Map have been moved to the debug level. Which means they are still available if necessary, but users won't have their logs cluttered by this.

Remember to try this version on a testbed server before installing it in production.

I still don't see the new 1.5.4 release on the update center.

The process that re-generates the update centre kicks in every hour or so.

Normally when I release a plug-in I check:

* Output of the Maven command line locally
* Jenkins Maven releases repository https://repo.jenkins-ci.org/releases/org/biouno/uno-choice/
* Update centre after a few hours
* That Jenkins twitter account

Issues almost triaged. Doing an initial triage, closing duplicates or won't fix. Then will use the following filter:

project = JENKINS AND component = active-choices-plugin AND status NOT IN (Resolved, Closed, "Won't Fix") AND id NOT IN (JENKINS-41709)


To look for the issues that could be in 1.5.4. For now I have:

Oh, I was just digressing on 1.5.4

The release process I mentioned was to help with 1.5.3. Just was trying to show how is the process from the hpi file leaving my computer until it reaches the update centre :) It is in the Maven repository, waiting for another process to kick in and update the update centre's JSON file (actually it should be available already I believe)
