There is a web-based BitTorrent client, http://www.bitlet.org/ that
uses Java.

Download links can be embedded by appending the encoded link to:

http://www.bitlet.org/download?

For example:
http://www.bitlet.org/download?torrent=www.foo.com%2Fbar.torrent

The web-based client it is easy to use and compatible with most
desktop browsers, though it has fewer features than a standalone
client.

Still investigating how Bitlet upload works http://www.bitlet.org/upload
ideally a similar option would be available for upload as well.

Are there any other web-based BitTorrent clients that are available?

Hi Mike,

Yeah, I had seen this before and at the time I was quite excited because
it would allow newcomers to bittorrent a easy way to download datasets
from Biotorrents. However, I have never gotten it to work with torrents
on BioTorrents and had sporadic results with other datasets from public
trackers. Maybe I will look into it again to see if it is something easy
I can fix on BioTorrents end to allow it to work.

Morgan
