Dear friends,

A piece of information to share...!

Industrial Biotechnology in Europe: a European Federation of Biotechnology Bioengineering and Bioprocessing Section initiative.

We will be launching the new Bioengineering and Bioprocessing Section of the European Federation of Biotechnology at the forthcoming European Congress on Biotechnology (ECB16.com). After this opening event we would like to support our new membership by providing an event focused on Industrial Biotechnology in Europe from the 17th to 19th November in London, with the help of our sister section in Applied Biocatalysis.

We would like to capitalise on the immense interest in this topic within the biotechnology and bioprocessing communities and help develop better networks and communications across Europe. Academics and industry are supporting us in our efforts and we hope that you will too.

We are pleased to invite you to join this initiative by completing the attached brief survey. We need to know:

whether you would be interested in attending such an event and which potential partners, academic or industrial, you would particularly like to meet;
especially if you can spare some time to help organise its activities;
whether your organisation would wish to sponsor its activities;

This initiative will fail unless it serves the needs of European industry. We would therefore especially like to hear from any company that would either sponsor plenary lectures, or wish to nominate one of its staff to serve on the Management Group.

Please return the survey or your brief comments to any or all of the undersigned.

Thank you in anticipation of your advice.
