Hi everyone:

To know what we should do first, we can think about the final outcomes
we expect in a few years. My hope is that we could turn this group
into a biotech startup or at least we learn enough during the process
that even someday we all apart, we will have what it takes to build
our own enterprises.

To build a successful business, I think of the following aspects:
People/Management team, Techniques, Business/Operation models,
Location/Markets, VC/Founding. So we can meet once a quarter or more
often and discuss about each topics. Before we meet, we would gather
the data, do the research/analysis, then present in the meeting and
brain storm what we learned and what we should prepare ourselves for.

We can start in the following order: Techniques, Business/
Operation models, Location, People, Founding, because when we are done
with the first 3 topics, we will have a much clearer picture as for
whom we are looking for and then team up and go out get venture
capital factor in.

As you all know I will go to a parttime MBA this fall and the
program takes 3 years so my time line for this group’s process is
about 3-5 years, of course, the sooner, the better. I might dropout if
chances make it a must.

If you have a different idea, it’s totally fine and feel free to
let everyone know so we are at the same page.

I will send this update to CSSA to get more people involved if
possible.
