Confocal microscopy provides a significant improvement for imaging over conventional microscopy. It creates advanced images of the specimens and allows visualization in 3D. Confocal microscopy facilitates biological applications that require clear visualization of sub-cellular structures and dynamic processes. School of Life Sciences, Manipal University, Manipal, in association with Leica Microsystems will provide hands-on training to elucidate the complete workflow including image acquisition, processing and quantification for advanced imaging needs. Additionally, it will focus on the use of wide field microscopy for fixed and live cell imaging.
