Registration for placements

Hi all,

The Placement registration for December 2015 across all the departments have been started. There are quite a few steps to be followed before you could actually start uploading your resume to your dream companies. I will be mailing them one after the other in this thread. 

Step 1: 

Our department has been given a slot on Monday(10/8/2015) from 2:15 PM - 3:15 PM. All the students registering for placements should carry their ID cards and come to the PPT hall (In P.O) in the time slot allotted for us. You need to go through the placement rules and should sign to abide them. This will complete Step 1.  

In case of inability to complete the registration for a genuine reason, kindly inform me. I will inform the P.O to consider only these for late registrations. P.O assumes others not sitting for placements. 

I will forward the list of registered students to the PO after which they will open the portal for you to make the payment for placements.

There is a slight change in the payment procedure. Due to some issues with the billdesk, we will be collecting the registration fees in cash when you come to register for placements on Monday.

Most of you should be able to login and register for placements on the website "placement.iitm.ac.in" by now.

Certain aspects are in the process of being approved, and all of you might not be able to register.
If you are unable to do so, do not panic, and take it as a sign of anything. PO is processing a lot of data over the past couple of days, and it might take 1-2 more days.

You will need to upload a photo with a size not more than 25 kB. Other details also have to be filled up; JEE rank, address, 10th, 12th percentages, etc.

Once that is done, registration is complete; you can see your PR number allotted to you, and can login to the account whenever you want to check company updates.
