As the semester draws to a close, its time we wind up the activities for the group for this semester. Once again, we are thankful to everyone for all their support and enthusiasm. We saw the expansion of the group this semester, growing from a fledging informal group to an SRG with a firm footing in the institute's student activities' landscape. We also did run into some administrative snags during this expansion, and identified areas of trouble - to which we will try to tend to in the next semester.

We primarily conducted talks this semester, and are happy to report a consistent participation in the talks, both new and old. We hope to continue and improve on the trend. Regrettably, we could not do many talks, due to the administrative snags mentioned above - this we wish to improve upon.

This was also a semester of many firsts for the group. We successfully collaborated with the BioTech Club for some of their events. We also successfully conducted the first talk from a faculty member for the group, and hope to do more in the next semester. But, don't worry, student talks will always be there. We also established a separate BioBytes gmail account: bioby...@gmail.com. Anything regarding the group can be asked by either posting on the facebook group or by mailing directly to this mail id.

With this, I and Shashwat would like to sign off for this semester for BioBytes activities, but that doesn't mean you have to stop too - after all, you guys can still put up those amazing references that you have been putting up on the group (thank you all for that - those were really interesting). And, you can always take the initiative - read up and present anything that you feel is important enough, that you feel people should know.

As always, hoping to see you at the next talk (possibly yours!),
Best Regards,
Archit Bhatnagar & Shashwat Shukla
