Greetings everyone!

SINE, and Student Support Services, Academic Council IIT Bombay, in
association with Biotech Club, IIT Bombay cordially invite you to Medtech
Event, which will focus on various prospects in the field of biomedical
technology.
The themes of the event shall be: Entrepreneurship, Medical Devices &
Diagnostics, and regulatory affairs.
We have an exciting line-up in store for those of you enthusiastic in
attending this event.

Day 1(6th October, 2017)

Part one:
The event will start off with a Keynote Speech by IITB alumnus, Mr. Rizwan
Coita, CEO of Citius Tech who did his MS in Massachussetts Institute of
Technology.

Part two:
Startup Pitching Session involving five Swiss Companies

Part three:
Three talks will be given by eminent personalities:
On Medical devices and the Regulatory Scenario in India, by Mr. Malay
Mitra, Former Deputy Drugs Controller, CDSCO
On In Vitro Diagnostics from the Lab-scale to the Market-scale, by Dr.
Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Alere
On CE Marking Process Overview for Medical Devices & In Vitro Diagnostics,
by Ms. Sonali Kandalkar, British Standards Institution
Day 2(7th October, 2017)

Panel Discussion on "Why Biology?", discussing the scope and need of
biology for engineers.
