New 06/2013 Apple Java 6 Update is Bad News

The Java 6 update that Apple posted this week is breaking all sorts of Java programs, e.g. Cytoscape and Matlab become unusable. A brief check of using BioTapestry seems to show that it still starts up OK, but it is very possible it would run into problems as well with some features. My recommendation is to hold off on the 6/2013 Java update from Apple until they address this problem.
