The State of JHARKHAND came into existence on 15th November, 2000 by carving out 18 districts of Bihar. JPSC Paper Leak: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission(JPSC) was scheduled to hold the Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2023 today, March 17, 2024. However, as per prabhatkhabar.com report, the JPSC Civil Services Prelims papers were allegedly leaked at the Jamtara test centres as well as Upendra Nath Verma Inter College, Chatra test centre ahead of the examination. Taking to X, several students claim that the bundle of question papers was opened even before the commencement of the examination.


SDO, SDPO, and other senior officials are investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the principal of the Upendra Nath Verma Inter College denied the rumours. As of now, neither the Commission has released any statement regarding the alleged paper leak nor confirmed the report.

The candidates willing to apply for JPSC Recruitment 2024 must be aware of the eligibility criteria required for the vacancies. As mentioned in the JPSC Notification 2024, below we have discussed the minimum eligibility criteria in terms of education qualification and age limit.


To be eligible, a candidate must possess a degree from any of the Universities that are incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from other educational institutions that are established by an Act of Parliament or have been declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Alternatively, the candidate should possess an equivalent qualification from a Foreign University that has been approved by the Central Government from time to time.


A candidate should have completed the minimum age of 21 years and the upper age limit for the unreserved category is 35 years. The upper age limit for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) is 35 years.


JPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2024: The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English language. The examination shall comprise two compulsory papers of 200 marks each. The questions will be of objective type (Multiple Choice Questions).


All candidates who clear the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination and are appointed to various posts will be paid an attractive monthly salary of Rs. Rs. 53100/- to 167800/- in Grade Pay- Rs. 5400. Along with the monthly salary candidates will be provided a various allowance and perks. Check the salary details from the below table.
