I tried to render, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Need to ask for developers. I know that some evermotion grass assets are added in asset library, maybe guys could repeat this trick with laubwerk Or integrate rheir library in enscape... We will pray

But, at that time we did not have the asset library, and for the most part i think the plan is, that the library should eliminate the need for Laubwerk.
right now the number of available plant models are still too limited though, but hopefully this could be changed in the future

Laubwerk support is definitely a demanded feature request on our agenda and this is a topic I will definitely bring up again in our next feature request meeting by also forwarding your upvotes and feedback - at least at the moment there are no implementation plans I could talk about though yet.

For enscape to be able to run Laubwork would be a huge deal for our company. We now work with V-ray and enscape. We would like to switch to enscape for all users, though the limited (though allready impressive) library of vegitation stops us from changing.

3..... YEARS....... LATER.... Seriously, Enscape, get with the times. Do you guys realize how long 3 years is? There is probably no better plant plugin for Sketchup users and it's 3 years later and still no plans even of when you'll include this for Enscape. Either the Enscape team is too small to handle demand for their product, or you guys don't see the right priorities, or you don't care? Is it all of the above? 3 years is a long, long time to not consider adding support for the best plant extension available in Sketchup and many other design applications.... I don't get it.

I can understand the frustration - From here I can only say that this simply wasn't on our agenda next to other wishes from the community, while we also want/wanted to provide our own vegetation assets which are fine-tuned to run as well as possible within real-time rendering. I will of course still also forward your Feedback, your whole post actually for our product managers to see.

I would really appreciate that Demian Gutberlet , thank you for making the effort on my feedback. I downloaded the laubwerk plugin yesterday very excited to use it with sketchup and enscape since enscape is the only renderer I use and know how to use, only to find out it doesn't work. Was just frustrating... I hope you guys see the importance of this soon because Laubwerk is a big deal for designers like myself looking to incorporate a landscape into their building designs.

I think it would be beneficial if you contacted the Laubwerk team with this request as well. I've also asked about Laubwerk support (from both teams) and hope it will support them as a proxy option in the future.

Yes! Laubwerk support would be so helpful for quick viz. I was a bit bummed when I couldn't get the full mesh to render, only the Laubwerk low-poly proxy. Definitely put down a vote for me!

"We would like that, too. We are going to get in touch with the Enscape guys about this. This is a little complicated, however. It should, in theory, be possible to get the trees into Enscape as they are in the renderings. However, the render version of our trees are very heavy and will probably bring Enscape to its knees pretty quickly. So we will have to provide a special real-time representation of the trees to work well with Enscape. This is something we are working on, but is not ready for prime-time just yet."

Sketchup - not a problem but Revit seems so backward to get any decent vegetation. The content on Archvision isn't great we find and any which way we look there doesn't seem to be a smooth workflow without having to resort to Speedtree / Evermotion and Max models which are crazy hi poly models.

We would be happy to subscribe or buy something that offers 'reasonable' hi res 3d trees / planting for Revit but theirs nothing out there that provides this, without going through 3-4 third party workflow processes.

I too am a bit worried that the asset library is taking all the focus. At least for sketchup, there are plenty great models out there already, and more often than not I make my own models to get a high enough quality. I'm afraid that most of the included assets might not be usable for our very specific needs and projects (if all studios/firms use the same assets, how are we supposed to differentiate us?).

I would MUCH more appreciate a wider support for external models and systems... that means, importing proxies from different file formats (fbx, obj, 3dm...) and from different plugins (Laubverk, speedtree, axyz...).

But again, You guys have done an amazing job developing Enscape to where it is, and i have the biggest confidence that you will continue that way! None the less, i'm looking forward to the update, although i expect the features wont be for me

It would also be nice to make any resource library accept submitted things from their user base (curated to keep quality - otherwise you get the SU library that contains some gems among a lot of dross.... and there could be complications with copyright.)

My concern would be that there would me more things to go wrong and ongoing maintenance/development of this feature would takes some of the focus of the developers away from maintaining and improving the core product: I am with those above and have some cautious optimism; personally I would rather that other cool things to do with the core interactive experience were higher on the priority list. (Still 110% behind any/all developments  .)

Plants from Laubwerk GmbH are available when you need beautiful 3D plants in your design. These realistic plants have a low polygon count that does not affect the performance of the drawing. Various plants, levels of detail, and seasonal representations can be selected. Vectorworks Landmark includes a variety of plants by default; other Design Suite products have a limited set of free plants to choose from. Additional plants can be purchased from laubwerk.com to add to the plant library.

I'm trying to get access to the larger Laubwerk plant catalog that is supposed to come with VW 2023 Design Suite but all I'm seeing is 5 species instead of the 145 species that are supposed to be included. Does anyone knows how I can get access to the larger catalog?

@zoomer Vectorworks will recognize Laubwerk catalogs that were installed separately. It also allows you to select an additional folder to be searched for laubwerk Catalog (a menu under the three dots at the top right corner of the Laubwerk Plant Catalog dialog)

I am on a mac and do not see how to get to that folder. I can get to user\vectorworks2023\plug-ins but then do not see a data folder. Can you advise and be specific about what you mean by 'clear the cache'? Do I just delete the folder like @Oaktown did?

Just expand the drop down arrow, choose the little icon and drag it into the other column - into whatever Tool Set your prefer... I dropped it into the Site Planning Tool, with the other planting tools. see screenshot attached.

for what it's worth.... I was expecting to be blown away by this new tool... have to say, I'm pretty underwhelmed. Very small selection of plants, barely a handful of Australian species and the only Eucalyptus included in the database is very poor indeed, and there's no way I'll be using that particular one with my clients (looks rather like a toilet brush). To be fair - I do have extremely high expectations. Glad I have my own database to fall back on.
