Hi

Is the email biop...@bioperl.org going anywhere? This is still
the email mentioned on the documentation for most modules to
report bugs. This should be fixed on the dist zilla bundle if it's
incorrect.

I sent an email to it a few hours ago and got nothing back yet.

Thank you
Carnë

Good question, that might be down to DNS settings and
I don't recall if moving our websites to GitHub pages
would have broken this or not. Relevant teams CC'd.

Carnë - your email is in the archives, so it definitely was received and processed:
http://mailman.open-bio.org/pipermail/bioperl-l/2018-July/089371.html

I updates the OS on the server last night, so it may have happened to be been busy with that while you were trying to test it.

As for DNS, the MX records are entirely independent of everything else (except if the domain is CNAMEd, which is not the case here).

No no. That's the email I sent to biop...@mailman.open-bio.org

I am asking about biop...@bioperl.org (note different domain) which
is the email mentioned on the documentation of all bioperl modules.

I know that mails to mailman.open-bio.org are working and I see the
archive but I don't know what happened to bioperl.org. So I sent an
email there. It didn't bounce yet but it is not on the
mailman.open-bio.org either.

It looks like the MX record for the bioperl.org domain got lost. Not sure how and when. I’ve reinstated it now, so this will hopefully go the list as well even though addressed to @bioperl.org.
