Each meeting of BioPAX Boston will have a convenor. The convenor is
responsible for deciding the day, time, location, and agenda of that
meeting, and has executive authority to do so. (Of course others will
be consulted in these decisions, since we're a congenial bunch.) The
convenor may also determine last-minute cancellations for weather and
other emergencies.
The convenor is expected to post meeting information, including an
agenda, at least 48 hours before the start of the meeting.
One item of business at each meeting is to draft a convenor for the
next meeting. (Perhaps the job will rotate among the regular
attendees.)
I will be convenor for the next meeting, which I expect will be on
Friday, 3 February 2006.
I cannot make Friday this week.
I like the idea of rotating the convenor.
I suggest adding a summary or some notes of who was present and what
transpired.
I would also like to propose a different day for our meetings. I have a
conflict on Friday afternoons and many times I want to do follow-up work
that get's lost because of the weekend.
Would Wednesday or Thursday afternoon's work?
Joanne
I'll propose that you be convenor of the meeting after this one; then
you can set the day, time, and place. If you want to reserve a room in
Stata let me know.
I agree, notes would be a great thing.
Who can make it this Friday, and what should the agenda be? I'd like to
continue with the E. coli network comparison project, but there are
plenty of other things to talk about.
Friendly Greetings
