[Virology] Sequencing through high GC content repeat region

I have just completed deep sequencing of a herpes virus but have some areas
with gaps. This is in the repeat regions. Because the GC-content of the
whole genome is about 73%, sequencing is quite difficult. Has anyone found a
way to 'easily' sequence through these regions??
