Staden installation issues

Hi,

I am unable to get staden to work. I essentially wish to use gap4. I
downloaded the linux-bin and got stash error when trying gap4. I had
already set the STADENROOT variable and sourced the staden.profile file.

[m049157@crick5 staden-linux-1-5-3]$ ./linux-bin/gap4
./linux-bin/gap4: line 123: exec: stash: not found
[m049157@crick5 staden-linux-1-5-3]$ uname -a
Linux crick5.mayo.edu 2.6.9-55.0.12.ELsmp #1 SMP Fri Nov 2 12:38:56 EDT
2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[m049157@crick5 staden-linux-ia64-1-6-0]$ echo $SHELL
/bin/bash

I even tried the 1.6 version for ia64 with same error:
[m049157@crick5 staden-linux-ia64-1-6-0]$ ./linux-ia64-bin/gap4
./linux-ia64-bin/gap4: line 123: exec: stash: not found

And x86 for ver 1.7
[m049157@crick5 staden-linux-x86-1-7-0]$ ./linux-bin/gap4
./linux-bin/gap4: line 83: exec: stash: not found
