Financial support for participation in a Gordon Research Conference

The 2012 Gordon Research Conference on the Plant and Microbial
Cytoskeleton will be held at Proctor Academy (Andover, NH) Aug. 12-17,
focusing on the latest advances in understanding the function,
organization, and regulation of the cytoskeleton in plants, yeasts,
filamentous fungi, bacteria, protozoa and other microbes (for a full

small conference (<150 participants) is a great opportunity to meet and
interact with researchers in the cytoskeleton field in an informal,
inclusive, collegial setting.

Several $800 NSF-funded awards (covering the full cost of registration,
double occupancy accommodation, and meals) are available to support the
participation in this conference of U.S.-based Ph.D. students, postdocs
and junior faculty who are members of underrepresented minority groups,
as well as faculty at primarily undergraduate institutions. Interested
individuals should:

Applications from all individuals with research and/or teaching
interests in the subject area of the conference will be accepted.
Submission of an abstract for a poster presentation is encouraged but
not required, and can be done later. Acceptance to the meeting does not
obligate you to register.

in receiving an NSF award and explaining the basis for your eligibility.
Candidates who email the Chair before the end of May are assured full
consideration; awards will continue to be made after that date if there
are funds remaining.
