NIH and DOD-funded positions are available November 2018 in a newly relocated laboratory of Prof. Seth Corey at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute Our laboratory is discovering the molecular basis of hematopoiesis and blood disorders.

The post-doctoral scientists will study bone marrow failure and myelodysplastic syndromes by focusing on specific genes, the mechanistic basis of disease, and drug development. This project involves the use of CRISPR/Cas9 editing, RNA molecular biology, and/or cell biology and biochemistry in zebrafish models and mammalian cells.

The ideal candidates will be in the process of completing her/his graduate degree or have less than 3 years of post-doctoral training. Experience in zebrafish development and advanced microscopy or metabolism is highly desired.

The post-doctoral fellows will benefit from a highly collaborative and productive and  resource-rich environment at Cleveland Clinic, #2 hospital in the United States, and the NCI-designated Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute provides an excellent environment for biomedical science with competitive salary and benefits.
