Hi, This fungi keeps growing in our back yard, often inches per day... the
base os very hard...almost like wood.
Can you identify forme?

Laetioporus, when it is old, can be very hard and woody. Typically
grows on wood. When young, can grow fast and often with alternating
white/yellow bands. When young, edible - fried with a little butter.
Just be sure it is chicken of the woods before consuming. T. McCloud
