I am studying peptide binding ER chaperones. As part of a crude assay, I
need a negative control for my experiment that involves any commercially available protein
that doesn't bind peptide. Are there any suggestions? Also, I understand
that certain ER chaperones (Example: ERp72) bind peptides to a lesser
extent than the more common ones like PDI.
To enable easy detection of its peptide binding activity, we could cross
link its antiserum to a solid phase matrix. I'm wondering if there are
other more efficient methods.

Thanks
