The following is a course announcement for SMS 587 Marine Molecular Biology
(University of Maine , Orono). This course may be of interest to those
wanting an introduction to techniques of molecular biology using (mostly)
bivalves as model systems. The course is open to university and college
faculty, postgraduate researchers, graduate students and others by
permission of instructors.

Course announcement:
SMS 587 is designed to provide a quick but intensive introduction to
techniques of Molecular Biology for researchers and students interested in
applying molecular techniques in their own research. The course will be
conducted at the Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory May 10-28.
Enrollment is limited to ten students. Room and board is available for all
students at very reasonable rates. For more information see the SMS 587
