We are seeking a highly qualified chemist with strong analytical
background to support cutting edge research in the field of combustion
and pyrolysis of natural products. Specifically the incumbent will
investigate the formation of free radicals in the combustion and
pyrolysis of biomass.

Qualified candidate must have received (or have completed all thesis
requirement leading to) a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry,
analytical chemistry, physical chemistry or related field and will
have documented experience in mass spectrometry and LC/MS.
Specifically, a candidate with experience in free radical chemistry is
highly desirable.

Candidate should be well versed in analytical techniques for
separation and structural identification, including but not limited
to: GC/MS, NMR, EPR and HPLC. The successful candidate must have
demonstrated skills to solve problems, strong interpersonal skill, and
excellent written and oral communication skills.

This position is located in Richmond, VA. Relocation assistance will
be provided.
