Our client is a structure-based drug discovery company. Their
integrated drug discovery platform includes
cutting-edge technologies covering all aspects of
structure-based research, including protein production,
crystallization, structure determination, bioinformatics
and computational and medicinal chemistry.
They require a Scientist - Protein Technology to produce recombinant
proteins essential for the structure-based lead discovery programs.
The successful candidate should have at least 1-2 years’ postgraduate
experience, preferably in the field of recombinant protein expression.
Experience with high throughput approaches to expression optimisation
would be beneficial but is not essential. The candidate must be able
to work independently and as part of a team, and show meticulous
attention to detail.

crystallization, structure determination, bioinformatics
and computational and medicinal chemistry.
They require a highly motivated protein purification scientist for
recombinant protein production, to underpin the structure-based drug
discovery technologies.
Applicants should possess a PhD, or have equivalent industrial
experience, in a relevant discipline. Practical experience of working
with a range of proteins (preferably in an industrial setting) and of
using automated systems is desirable. The successful candidate will be
responsible for developing and implementing purification methods for
target proteins across multiple projects.
