Postdoctoral Position- Wall Biosynthesis and Cell-Biology

Postdoctoral position is available to study the function of two gene families involved in the synthesis of nucleotide-sugars in plants. The project involves cellular and molecular biology methodology in addition to biochemistry and analysis wall mutants. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in molecular biology or biochemistry with an excellent publication record and strong credentials in modern molecular biology/genetics and enzymology/biochemistry. Experience with biochemical techniques such as heterologous protein expression, protein purification, enzymatic assays, antibody production, and experience with molecular and cellular techniques such as cloning, construction of fusion proteins (GFP), and immuno-EM protein localization is desirable. Salary commensurate with experience.
