changing java heap space limit

Hi, I am running map files with 10k+ amount of markers and came across analysis failed when doing consensus due to java heap space, which i suspect its because it exceeds the memory allocation for biomercator application.

if this is the case, i assume changing the heap space limit could provide more room for the data, but im not sure how to do it.
