Hello Dr. Yannick De Oliveira,

I am a new user of BioMercatorV4.2, and I encountered some issue after loading data.

When I loaded two files from a friend, who successfully analyzed his data using BioMercator, the map and qtr files merged into one.
However, when I loaded my files, they appeared separated in the Java GUI (MacOS).
I can visualize each chromosome and markers from the separated map file, but chromosomes in the qtr file appeared compressed and weird.

Anyway, I believe these two files should be merged, but I am not sure what is going wrong.
I have my test files attached (tab delimited txt), and would you please provide me some thoughts? Thank you very much.

Hao

Dear Hao,

I found some formatting errors in your file, for example there were some tabs after "chr=" and "lg=" lines and after "mapName=" line.
To my experience there should not be extra spaces and tabs.

Moreover I found "chr=5" and "lg=6" in the map file.

I corrected those problems and I could load the files correctly.

You can find them attached, they should be fine.

Best

Pietro
