Happy Thanksgiving Day,Dear Yannick.

Fistly,Thank you for bringing us such a wonderful software. I have used this software for a long time, but until today have I found this forum.I would like to ask you some questions. I am honored to receive your guidance.
1.When I do the meta-analysis of a chromosome, it show the result "analysis failed"  in the last step. But when I did this in an other chromosome, it is successful.I used files in the same format, theoretically there should be no problem. So I have tried some way, finally I found when I changed the number of QTLs to11,it become successful, and when the number of QTLs is less than 10.it would show "analysis failed".  Is it right ? If there are some way to solve this problem, thanks for you answer.
2.Another question is about physical map. Now there are many organisms that have reference physical maps. and we can get the physical distance of flank markers by reference genome. If you have plans to develop some functionality that integration QTLs based on physical map.(a little and immature question)
My English is not well, please forgive me. Thank you .

Dear Zheng tong,

1/ Indeed, you need to change the kmax parameter for the meta-analysis. Kmax is the maximum number of meta-QTLs that the software will evaluate. If you have 10 former QTLs, then kmax can’t be equal to 10. It must be equal to 9 or less. The reason is that this is useless to evaluate 10 meta-QTLs if you have 10 former QTLs, and impossible to evaluate 11 meta-QTLs if you have 10 former QTLs.

2/ We have some development plans to integrate QTLs on physical maps but not with QTL linkage, it will be related to GWAS. Also, meta-analysis method won’t be the same.

Best regards

Yannick

Dear Yannick.
Thanks for your guidance . I have solved my problems under your instruction.I was so careless that I  didn't realize the means of kmax. It did confuse me for a long time.Thank you again for your anwser.By the way, GWAS is now popular in research. I think the work you have done must be very useful.and I can't wait to see the results of your research.Congratulations in advance.Cheer up! Waiting for your good news.
Best wishes.
