  As part of the GIAN Phase-2, we are happy to announce that *Prof. Koushik Maharatna*, Department of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS), University of Southampton, UK, has kindly consented to offer a two-week course titled "* Systems Design for Remote Healthcare*" during * December 18 -29, 2017* at *IIT KHARAGPUR*.

 This course will cover basics of design of remote healthcare system. With the increase in aged population, there is a shift in policy from reactive healthcare to proactive health care to save the cost and suffering. The growth of electronics has come as a boon, which can revolutionize this space with remote healthcare solutions.
