Dear all,
Please join us the last Bioinformatics Club seminar this year on Monday (12/18/2017). Dr.
Yuezhou Chen from the Rheumatology, Immunology, and Allergy division will introduce an interesting topic:
How can the human body make a 120 billion antibody repertoire against various antigens?
Time: Dec 18th (Monday), 12:00 PM
Place: BTM - 9th-floor conference room 9004
Our human body can make more than 120 billion difference antibody molecules, which form the basis of the immune response to environmental factors including microbiome and food antigens. How is this large primary antibody repertoire produced? When and where does this occur? Dr. Chen will walk us into the world of the immune system and talk about V(D)J recombination.
