Dear all,
Today Prof. Qiu Weiliang from Channing Division of Network Medicine will give us a talk on
power analysis. Dr. Qiu is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Biostatistician at Channing Division of Network Medicine, Brigham and Women's Hospital. Power analysis is a very crucial step for study design.
Is my sample size large enough to capture the signal? What's my power to detect the effect? Should I get more samples? etc. Questions like these were frequently asked by in peer reviews. In this session, Dr. Qiu will cover most of the aspects of power analysis and show how to solve the problem in R or SAS. So please come in on time, as the room would be filled up quickly.
