Call for Abstracts and Posters

Text Mining for Healthcare and Biology Session at ISMB/ECCB 2025

 

The Text Mining Community of Special Interest (COSI) invites you to submit abstracts and posters for our session at ISMB/ECCB 2025 in Liverpool, England, on July 24, 2025.

 

We invite submissions on the use of natural language processing (NLP) and text mining to address important problems in biology and medicine. We welcome work with novel methodological contributions, as well as practical applications that demonstrate the real-world impact of NLP in biomedical settings.

 

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Innovative Methods: Advances in methods for NLP tasks on biomedical and clinical texts.
  • Biological Insights with NLP: Research that uses NLP to advance scientific understanding in biology or medicine.
  • Evaluation and Reproducibility: Studies focused on evaluation, benchmarking, or reproducibility in biomedical NLP, especially applied to real-world challenges.

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: April 17, 2025
  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: May 13, 2025
  • Late Poster Submission Deadline: May 15, 2025
  • Notification of Late Poster Acceptance: May 22, 2025

Participation Information:

Presenters should plan to attend the meeting in person. However, virtual participation options (including live and on-demand sessions, Q&A, and chat) are available. More details can be found on the conference website.
