Pangenome course/hackathons in USA and Italy in Japan

In May 2026 we are organising Mempang, the annual Memphis TN meeting
on Pangenomes.

And in Italy we are organising the EMBO Practical Course on Population
Genomics (15-22 June 2026) that provides training in demographic
inference and natural selection using both classical and machine
learning-based approaches. The course includes lectures and practicals
and is aimed at evolutionary biologists with basic bioinformatics
skills (R required).

Both events will have pangenomes biologists and the key developers of
pangenome software tooling. This always leads to great discussions and
contributions to the scientific effort :)

in the pangenome workshop using the latest tools (incl. impg and
tracepoints), give a talk or hack new tooling together.
