Just thought some of you might find this interesting- as far as first experience in creating genetically modified organisms go, this one will do nicely.

Granted, you're not really purchasing something outright, as is usually with crowdfunding campaigns like this. Some great reasons to give this one some careful look though- you'll get an interesting IP free vector you can play around with, saving on synthesis costs down the road. And the guy running the project is completely awesome, and will most likely help a lot of people get their own lab and experiments off the ground.
