Hello there!

I was playing around with BioGPS, which seems to be a really great
idea, even if sluggish when it comes to organizing the interface. It
struck me not being able to find CYP3A4. The query is correct, CYP3A7
is found; needless to say that 3A4 is one of the most studied
cytochromes, so it's not that it is some obscure enzyme. Am I doing
something wrong there?

Thanks,

Alexandru

Hello Alexandru,

Thanks for your email. I can confirm that something odd is going on with CYP3A4. It looks like an issue that we haven't seen before, so we'll get to work investigating. We'll email again when we know more.

Thanks,
-andrew

Hi Alexandru,

We have just released a bug fix that corrects the problem you reported earlier this week. Here is the link to your search for "CYP3A4":

http://biogps.gnf.org/?query=cyp3a4

For being the first to have reported this bug, we'd also like to offer you one of our BioGPS mascots. They are our "thank you" to the community for helping us keep bugs like this at bay. (http://biogps.blogspot.com/2008/12/biogps-swag-just-in-time-for-holidays.html) Please email me your mailing address and mascot preference (directly to me, rather than to the mailing list).

Let us know if you encounter any other problems.

Cheers,
-andrew
