That won't be possible I'm afraid yet - they could run .exe standalones inside Bootcamp if the client would be willing to install it, but otherwise I'd recommend sending panoramas, renderings, or web standalones instead which will of course run on Macs too. Just keep in mind, if you decide to go with web standalones, they'd have to do the following to view them in Safari, or they can view them inside Firefox/Chrome from the get go.

Understood about the .exe stand alones,
Other question:

1) Does .exe stand alone, have a beeter quality for VR experience than using VR directly from sketchup/enscape?
or VR quality experience shoould be the same?

In case you haven't already, make sure to also forward this issue to sup...@enscape3d.com as Forum support itself is currently limited. You'll hear from our technical support team very soon though this way, thank you in advance!

You also have the option of rendering panoramas and creating a tour to be viewed in VR. I highly recommend trying this with at least one panorama to compare the effect. I find it to be quick effective and there is no loss of quality due to lowered rendering settings of Web, or capabilities of the target device. The other major benefit of this approach is that is accessible by virtually any device including non tethered VR.

Selfishly, our office just purchased a Quest 2, and am now looking to see what options are available for getting the user experience as easy as possible for everyone. Ideally, we would be looking to just take the VR headset to site, and then somehow either stream via a mobile app, or have 360 panoramic images loaded directly onto the headset, and then using QR codes on printed sheets spread around the building, so that the client can experience various vantage points.

I'll obviously need to do a lot of testing beforehand, but to save time, thought I would ask here first. (and of course, I'm happy to share any findings / guides created here in case it is of use for others).

Hey guys! Sometimes I need to block a program in the kaspersky firewall, I am doing it by clicking on the gear symbol, then firewall, then manage the programm rules. That are a freaking lot of steps on the one hand and on the other hand, sometimes the programs are not listed there before I start them the first time. SO I need to unblug by internet, start close the program and then again try to block it in the firewall. But even then some .exe are still not visible there!

Or atleast having a real search function in the kaspersky rule tab, because there I can only search for programs that have been yet started, I want to search by location and put in stuff that kaspersky is not aware of yet.

Settings gear icon -> Security -> Intrusion Prevention -> Manage Applications -> on top right of the windows use Search form to find the app -> once found it, go to its NetWork column and select Deny:

Also, You can always add an unmanaged app yet to Intrusion Prevention or FireWall, just going there, selecting previously the group (Trusted, Untrusted, etc..), then mouse right button -> Add application to group, and then edit its rules:

I tried the first suggestion, from Moderator Schulte, and I think that is the function I was searching for (well, unfortunatly also many steps, but atleast I can add an app without starting it). I am very greatful for all your help.

Good day all. Could someone please tell me where the exe file for AP v2 is located? As I have been doing successfully for years with AP v1, I would like to launch the v2 app from Photo Supreme v7 DAM, but the app needs the location of the .exe file, and search as I might I cannot find it. Grateful for any help.

It's weird. Although I bought the apps directly from Serif, the app is a native Windows app. The same as from the store. It means, it's installed in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\ It also means, it's hidden from the user.

Thank you for pointing to the right direction.
I generally like to install all the apps on D drive (Windows) - does this mean, you can't choose any location other than the default location any more?
What about the same computers with 2- accounts (windows) can both use the app?

Also, does anyone know the installation size for the suite?

Really appreciate the help so far. However, I'm afraid I am not a tech expert - (at 80 yrs the grey cells are fading). I have found and opened C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\ but apparently I need superpowers to enter the hallowed cabinet. I fiddled around a bit and found a way in, but all the tick boxes required to change my permissions are greyed out; using administrator privileges did not help. Is there any other way to access the AP v2 .exe file(s)?

Yes. There are Windows native apps. They are usually installed via the Microsoft Store. Serif somehow made the Windows native application, which can be installed externally. But all restrictions apply too. Hence you can't access the content of that folder.

Phooey, that ruins my workflow using my DAM as a gateway. Hope that Affinity:Serif can provide a solution before too long. Lessons learned: don't be an early adopter - more haste, less speed. My fingers are firmly crossed for a prompt solution, Serif!!

This is so confusing for me. I did as you said, as shown. I go to Exposure and Export and try to find the bat file but, of course, it doesn't show up because it's not an EXE. Am I doing this wrong? Thanks!

OK. It seems nuts that something as basic and fundamental as this would be left out. There must be a lot of people like me who want to work their images up in a RAW image editor or a DAM program and throw them over to AP. Please let the devs know that we're all sobbing over here!

I can confirm that this should be possible, and our QA team were able to access this .exe during the internal beta phase - however between the testing of this feature and release it appears that something has changed internally which is stopping users from accessing the .exe as they should be able to currently.

I have a .exe file which was written by a previous employee which we have no communication with any more. We need to make alterations to the file as the process has changed slightly, but the original project files were taken with them.

yes, we can use the Ipc command to communicate with the external tool, especially the .exe file. but here, i met a problem, i want to call the "gimp" a system viewer tool (view image) in linux, and i want to call it in my form by pushing a button, so can you give me some opinions?

I am unsure what your Install command line is set to in Intune, whether you are installing it in the Users context or System Context
I am unsure if your command has single quotes or back ticks (It may have just been copied into this forum incorrectly
N.B. Back ticks " ` " are used to escape certain characters in Powershell where as a single quote " ' " will properly quote something

If you have placed it in the \Files\ sub-folder for example, you will need to update the path.
Are there any restrictions on executing the SETUP_GENNIUS_705.exe file - i.e. does it have to be run in the users context?
Is there any additional syntax required to run the install unattended (rather than just /VERYSILENT)?

@Adrian_Scott
I need to install this Software in the System Context.
Yes, this is a Copy and Paste issue. I use single quotes.
The File is located in the Files Folder and this works perfectly. No need for $dirFiles.
I tried also with the parameter /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES.

This install command looks wrong?
(Wondering what the /SLS="$100AA,12377523,134144, prefix is for?
and
executing the SETUP_GENNIUS_705.exe from C:\Temp is NOT normal Intune behaviour I would normally expect it to run from C:\Windows\IMECache\\ assuming it was packaged as an Intunewin file?

You can then easily request these logs from a device via the Intune Portal:
image1798306 15.9 KB
This will then request the device to bundle up (zip) all the device logs (including from the Intune Logs folder), registry hives and other diagnotics data, before uploading them to Intune, for you as the admin to download at a later stage via device diagnostics:
image564782 27.4 KB
You can then easily review the logs without having the device locally to hand

There are 4 types of detection rules:
MSI - These tend to be the easiest
File/Folder - I rarely use these
Registry - I use these most often
Custom PS script - I have a script but I prefer using the registry.

I created a "Flip Book" using the Flip PDF software application. The created Flip Book is an .exe file. I would like for my friends to see the Flip Book but have been unable to find a host site that will do so. I thought Dropbox would be my answer but found out today Dropbox does not support an .exe file. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanking you in advance.
