New issue 335 by katherin...@gmail.com: report locality type used for
georeferencing and uncertainty calculation
http://code.google.com/p/biogeomancer-workbench/issues/detail?id=335
What version of the product are you using (see top right of Workbench
interface)? On what operating system? Using which browser (include version
please)?
Version 1.2.4 on Windows 7 with Mozilla Firefox 8.0.1
Please provide any additional information below.
As partially addressed in an earlier post, I would like to know the
locality type used by BioGeomancer for each returned georeference, such
that, e.g., I can extract only those georeferences that match the known
locality type of the location in question, and discard others.
Do you mean the feature types of named places in the locality descriptions?
These and their identifiers are visible in the georeferences in the user
interface. Do you mean thee should also be available in the download?
Hello,
Yes, I would like for the feature type information to be available in the
download product. I typically batch georeference 5-7k records at a time,
and it would be extremely efficient to, e.g., find all results that are
georeferenced to the same feature type that is referred to in the record's
locality description, and then manually go through the results that were
georeferenced using feature types different than that referred to in the
record's locality type, in order to evaluate which georeferencing result
should be kept.
