Transmitting Science is offering a new edition of the course “Functional trait diversity: calculating and interpreting a key component of biodiversity”.

Dates & schedule: live online sessions on February 3rd, 5th, 10th and 12th, 2026, from 13:30 to 18:00 (Madrid time zone).

This course aims to introduce participants to metrics of functional trait diversity and related community-trait structure analyses, a key component of biodiversity that is increasingly important for understanding how biological communities respond to environmental change and the consequences for ecosystem functionality.

Instruction will combine lectures, hands-on computational exercises in R, and guided examples. Language of instruction: English.
