Dear Neotropically-oriented fellows,

I guess many of you might have seen Pyron’s recent perspective
(published in several newspapers in the US and UK). Many of us were
upset by those views and wrote a short response (attached; word limit
is 250 words), which quickly gained over 1200 signatures of scientists
from 60+ countries.

I wonder whether you, and perhaps others you know might be willing to
