Is the a bioAtan function?

I think not? I need it for a non-linear specification.

I've tried to make a class, but could not get it to work.

Any chance the Atan can be implemented (-:

Strange request ;-)
I may do it in a future version. Meanwhile, using a Taylor's expansion is probably the best solution.

I know (-: it's for some weird functional stuff I'm working on. It is just that;
 
t <- 2/pi *atan(1/w)
 
Is a nice transfer function that I'm using. Maps to the unit interval. But so far I solved using fitted variant as you propose.

I'll manage!
