Its often the case that there are overlaps between IEA Tasks and opportunities arise for experts to collaborate on specific activities. Tasks 38 and 43 fall into this category. This November webinar will also double up as a brief meeting of the Task 38 and 43 Participation Groups for those wishing to stay. Webinar details are below. Attendance at this event is free but registration is essential in order to ensure connection to the webinar on the day. In this joint Task 38/43 webinar we welcome our Guest Speakers John McGrath and Göran Berndes. John will present on the development of biomass production systems in WA to deliver economic biomass and mitigate dryland salinity. He will touch on the drivers for the work he is involved in, how the systems deliver positive impacts on water quality and availability, the key enabling factors, the main challenges and the outcomes achieved through the program. Göran will present on T38-43 work including forest bioenergy and GHG balances and will complement John’s presentation by giving a broader view of lignocellulosic crops in agriculture landscapes. |
